Institute on Aging: The San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services
There is a new video: “New generation of tech innovations aims to help elders stay healthy and connected.”
Kira Reginato writes: Institute on Aging has the right idea — they have entrepreneurs come to their edifice, to meet with older adults and ask THEM what they want in terms of gadgets, technology, etc.

As you know, people rarely identify with being old — no matter their age. We all want to have people solicit OUR opinion, not decide for us.

I believe the way things look and operate will change a lot with our bolus of 50 plus cohorts. We need to say what we want but before we can do that, we need to THINK about what we might want. We can shape design and function. What is ahead can be very exciting. Watch this video to get inspired.

IOA was a sponsor of my radio show Call Kira About Aging! for a time. Listen to free podcasts: CallKira.Com.

You may have seen this on PBS NewsHour last week, but in case you missed it, I am thrilled to let you know that Institute on Aging was featured on PBS National news. Watch the Video
